Ever wonder why Booyah Kombucha is proudly unpasteurised? To answer that, we need to travel back to the 1800s and have a quick word with the man himself: Louis Pasteur.

Pasteur changed the game of modern food safety. His invention—pasteurisation—involves heat-treating food and drink to kill off harmful microbes. It was revolutionary. Milk stopped transmitting tuberculosis. Wine spoiled less. Fewer people died from what they drank.
In short: fewer funerals, more cheers.
